This is your last assignment for your senior year of English.
On the first day of school, you read student letters from the class of 2012. The purpose of the letters was to provide you with students' perspectives on what to expect in class and how to successfully meet those expectations. Now it is your turn to write a letter to advise the incoming seniors how to be successful in Senior English.
Your final reflection is to be composed as a letter addressed to the students from the class of 2012. The final reflection is worth 50% of your final exam grade. Therefore, it is expected to be well-written. For each error, 1 points will be deducted from your grade. Also, the minimum word length is 500 words. One point will be deducted for each word less than 500.

Dear Class of 2014,
Hello my name is Martin Rodriguez and I am the type of kid that does the work to just get by. I never cared about English or the importance of school. After I passed 11th grade I was a little nervous about going into 12th grade especially to Tech Prep 12. I thought the class was going to be hard and boring, but in the end it was a piece of cake.I only did varsity sports in 9th and 10th grade. After that I found a job and I have been working since then.
My experience in this class was great. We were able to connect with each other. One of the things that I enjoyed in Tech Prep 12 is the class discussions. We had great discussions about anything you can think of. One thing about this class is that we read and do assignments that relate to our current lives. Another thing that is pretty cool about this class is the blogs which are do every Sunday at 11:59pm. Here you would do a blog which consist of writing your opinion about the subject that Dr. Griffin will assign you. You put your own thoughts into this and you also respond to a peer’s opinion. One of the most important things you must not mess up on is your webfolio. I recommend putting all the work that you do as soon as possible instead of waiting till the end of the year and stressing on doing it.
Tech Prep 12 is no joke and requires a lot of responsibility. One thing that this class will show you is time-management and doing things on time. Most assignments have deadlines that cannot be made up or submitted a minute late. For instance blogs are due every Sunday at 11:59. If you decide to do the blog and upload it at 12:01 it will be considered late and will not be accepted. This is where time-management comes in. Dr. Griffin will give you the blog on Monday’s so you technically you have a whole week to do it. This class will prepare you to be organized and well trained for when you are ready to graduate in 2014. Another thing, “GITERDUN” is one of the things I went by in Tech Prep. You do not have to be lazy but get up and just do what you have to do.
All in all this is a great class to take. It is a hundred times better than regular boring English class and you do not have to take any type of test. You do have to do things on time, I cannot stress that enough. All the work you do in here will prepare you for the real world. One thing I would have done differently is my webfolio. Now I have less time because I was not doing it as we were doing the work because I was a little lazy. Start the year the right way and learn as much as you can will you can because once you realize the year will be over. You will learn many great things in this class and the importance of life if you believe it or not.
Sincerely, Martin Rodriguez
